1. Enclosure & Habitat
Tank size: Minimum 30 gallons for adults; larger is better (at least 4 feet tall).
Vertical design: Use a screen or glass terrarium with plenty of climbing branches and foliage.
Temperature:
Basking spot: 85–95°F.
Cool side: 70–80°F.
Humidity: Maintain humidity levels of 50–70% through regular misting and a humidity gauge.
2. Lighting
Provide UVB lighting (a fluorescent bulb) for about 12 hours a day to support calcium absorption and overall health.
Use a basking lamp to create a warm spot.
3. Diet & Nutrition
Feed a variety of live insects such as crickets, roaches, and hornworms.
Dust insects with calcium and multivitamin supplements several times a week.
Offer occasional fruits and vegetables for variety.
4. Watering
Mist the enclosure daily to maintain humidity and provide a water source.
Some chameleons prefer drinking water droplets from leaves; consider using a drip system or a misting device.
5. Handling & Behavior
Panther chameleons are generally not fond of handling; minimal interaction is best to reduce stress.
Observe them from a distance to appreciate their behavior and colors.
6. Health & Lifespan
Watch for signs of illness such as lethargy, loss of appetite, or changes in color.
With proper care, they can live 5–10 years or more.
