Anery Rufescens x Kenyan Sand Boa Hybrid
This rare hybrid blends the sleek, pattern-rich look of the Anery Rufescens with the stout, fossorial form of the Kenyan Sand Boa. The result is a striking snake with smooth scales, reduced reds, and bold contrast—perfect for collectors looking for something unusual. Like both parents, they stay relatively small, are easy to handle, and thrive in simple setups with warm temps, dry substrate, and regular feeding of frozen/thawed rodents.
Enclosure: A 10–20 gallon tank with a secure lid; more floor space is better than height.
Substrate: Use aspen, sand/soil mix, or coco fiber—deep enough for burrowing.
Temperature: Warm side 90–95°F, cool side 75–80°F; under-tank heating preferred.
Humidity: Low to moderate (30–50%); provide a humid hide during sheds.
Feeding: Feed appropriately sized frozen/thawed rodents every 7–10 days.
Temperament: Generally calm, secretive, and easy to handle with regular interaction.
